NEW DELHI:
WWE has once again showcased its penchant for change, this time focusing on the tag team duo, Los Lotharios—comprising Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.
The journey of Los Lotharios began when Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo formed a tag team on Raw in September 2021. As part of the 2021 Draft, the dynamic duo transitioned to the SmackDown brand.
It wasn't until their return to NXT that they began to gain more traction, with the tag team being officially christened as Los Lotharios.
Despite their potential, the duo had a relatively quiet run in 2023 before a notable shift in their storyline. The tag team introduced vignettes featuring their grandfather, portraying him as a revered superstar of yesteryears.
The narrative took an unexpected turn when they aligned with Santos Escobar on the main roster during a recent episode of SmackDown. Together, they entered into a heated feud against the LWO (Latino World Order).
In the latest development, WWE.com has reflected a subtle alteration in the nomenclature of the tag team. Formerly recognized by their full names, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo, the duo is now officially referred to simply as Angel and Humberto.
This change comes amid a broader trend of reshuffling and rebranding within WWE, showcasing the company's commitment to keeping its product dynamic and engaging for the ever-evolving wrestling audience. As Los Lotharios continue to navigate their path on the main roster, these adjustments might signal a new chapter for the charismatic tag team.
