The location for next year's Show of Shows, WrestleMania has been officially announced with the logo also revealed during this week's edition of SmackDown.
The February 21st edition of WWE SmackDown emanated from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the sight of the revelation of the location for WWE's premier event, WrestleMania, for next year by none other than The Most Electrifying Man in All Entertainment, The Rock.
WWE Unveils the official logo for WrestleMania 42
The Rock made a shocking announcement a day before this week's edition of SmackDown that he would be appearing at the show with a big gift in store for the city of New Orleans. The Final Boss came out to a thunderous ovation from the fans in attendance and jumped straight to his big gift.
The Final Boss announced that New Orleans will play host to WrestleMania 42 next year. The event will once again be a two-night event taking place in the Superdome on April 11 and 12, 2026. Right after the announcement, the logo for WrestleMania 42 was showcased on the entrance screens, and huge pyros were going up, much to the fans' excitement.
The logo was reminiscent of the logos for the previous editions of WrestleMania hosted in New Orleans. Many fans on social media claimed that it was a remastered and combined version of WrestleMania 30 and 34 and got much appreciation online.
This will be the third time that New Orleans will be hosting WrestleMania. The first edition was WrestleMania 30, which was memorable for Daniel Bryan's monumental triumph over The Authority, Randy Orton, and Batista to become the WWE World Champion in memorable fashion. Moreover, it was the same city that saw the end of The Undertaker's iconic undefeated WrestleMania Streak at the hands of Brock Lesnar. The second time was for WrestleMania 34, most remembered for Ronda Rousey's in-ring WWE debut and a top-notch main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Moreover, as The Rock revealed in the post-show conference, New Orleans has a large wrestling fanbase and has hosted remarkable WrestleMania editions in the past, making WWE's choice easier. With WrestleMania 42 coming back to Bourbon Street again, it will be interesting to see The Show of Shows next year in the city.
