Over the years, there are a lot of finishing moves that have been highlighted in the company, but there are some that have become iconic and are considered to be devastating in the industry.

Tombstone Piledriver

The Tombstone Piledriver is a move that was immortalized by the Undertaker. The move involves lifting a wrestler and then dropping them head first onto the mat. Not many people have been able to kick out of this move.

While the move was used by a lot of other wrestlers, none of them have been able to use it in the ring like the Phenom. Historically, the only person to be able to kick out of the Piledriver was his brother Kane.

The Stunner

Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of the most iconic wrestlers of the Attitude Era. Although his in-ring career was short lived, he did leave a lasting impact on the industry as a whole. The move is fairly simple and it doesn’t look painful at all, but wrestlers like The Rock have always sold it perfectly, adding to the charisma of the entire move.

The only other person to use the Stunner in WWE is Kevin Owens and there’s an ongoing debate of who performs the move better.

RKO

The RKO out of nowhere is a tagline that you are bound to hear whenever Randy Orton is engaged in a bout in the WWE. This move is a modification of the Ace Crusher and the Diamond Cutter, two moves that were made famous by Johnny Ace and Diamond Dallas Page respectively.

There’s no doubt that the RKO is one of the most successful finishers in WWE and given that it can be executed from any direction coupled with the fact that Randy Orton delivers it perfectly, has turned this finisher into one of the most iconic ones in the industry.

The Sharpshooter

Coming out straight from Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s arsenal is the Sharpshooter, which is a variation of the Scorpion Deathlock, used by Riki Chosu and later on by the Icon, Sting! The Sharpshooter is a submission move and drew a massive reaction from the crowd.

Bret Hart being the exceptionally talented wrestler that he was, delivered this move very well, and the wrestlers he used it on sold it well too.

619

The 619 isn’t exactly a finisher, but it’s more popular than some of the other finishers that you’ll get to see in the ring. The move is exclusive to the Mysterios and there was this one time when Chavo Guerrero tried to perform the move but failed miserably.

The move is usually followed by a springboard or some other aerial maneuver but from setup to the execution, the 619 itself is very elegant, and is one of the most iconic moves ever seen in the WWE ring.
