As Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has entered the Elimination Chamber match with a special purpose. This time the match will add an extra flare to the event since The Rock recently asked Cody Rhodes to become “his champion” and sell his soul at the recently held SmackDown.
However, Cody Rhodes is yet to make a decision at the Elimination Chamber event tonight as it will be interesting to see if he will sell his soul to The Rock in exchange for unlimited power and wealth.
To convince Rhodes to decide in The Rock’s favor, the Great One has now tried to evoke Dusty Rhodes’ memory on Friday’s WWE SmackDown to influence Cody Rhodes ahead of the Elimination Chamber match which is going to start today, on March 1, 2025, in Toronto, Canada.
The Rock influences Cody Rhodes recalling Dusty Rhodes’ memory
On February 28, WWE SmackDown series, a Cody Rhodes in-ring interview was cut short as
The Rock had sent a gift to the arena to influence Rhodes further in the form of a personalized monster truck.
As Rhodes approached the truck, a video from The Rock appeared on the screen, with a final message for the Undisputed WWE Champion.
In the video, Rock evoked Cody’s late father Dusty Rhodes' memory and said that he knows Cody’s been talking to him too, and that’s how he knows Cody will make the right decision to join him and sell his soul.
But the drama did not end there, The Rock further sent one last “gift”, which was a new weight belt with the words “Cody’s Soul” with the date June 11, 2015, on it which was the date when Dusty Rhodes passed away.
In the video, Rock stated that on this very day, his heart was broken as Dusty Rhodes passed away. However, he told Cody to consider his decision and not break it again tonight.
The latest edition of SmackDown ended with a cliff-hanger where
Cody Rhodes was seen rethinking his decision whether or not he would indeed sell his soul to The Rock at the
Elimination Chamber event.
The Rock drops a cryptic message before the Elimination Chamber match
As The Rock is waiting in anticipation for
The American Nightmare’s decision to sell his soul and be his champion, the Final Boss has now dropped a cryptic post on his X handle primarily aiming at Cody Rhodes a day before the upcoming Elimination Chamber: Toronto Premium Live Event.
Taking to his X account, the Rock posted a three-word message with a picture. He wrote: "SOUL ~ final boss." It could be seen that the WWE heavyweight champion is desperately waiting for an answer from Cody Rhodes.
