Is WWE Planning a Big E Return? Here’s the Latest

Ever since he took a bad fall, there has been a huge cloud of doubt over the career of WWE star, Big E. Back in 2022, Big E was involved in a Tag Team match against Sheamus and Ridge Holland. During this bout, Holland caught Big E with a belly to belly suplex outside the ring, and the latter had a rough landing. Big E ended up breaking two vertebrae in his neck, which led to an abrupt end to his time in WWE.

For a long time now, fans have been speculating about Big E’s return to WWE. Now, the speculation has gotten crazier than ever following comments made by WRDK Wrestling who suggested that WWE are planning a return for Big E. If this turns out to be true, it would be huge for both Big E and The New Day. Let's take a look at what Big E’s potential return could look like.

What role will Big E play following his return to WWE?

First off, Big E is still a long way from coming back, as he hasn't even been medically cleared yet. Once he's back, the most obvious role for Big E is to join The New Day and deal with Xavier Woods, who is undoubtedly going to turn heel in the near future. Woods and Kofi Kingston have been having a ton of problems with each other which makes it clear to see that Woods is close to turning.

Kofi Kingston might struggle to take Woods down on his own. So, it is entirely possible that if Big E is cleared soon, he will come back to save Kofi Kingston and The New Day. Who knows, maybe his presence alone will be enough to stop Xavier Woods from taking any rough decisions. Hopefully, WRDK Wrestling are correct about their claim of WWE working on a potential return for Big E. There are a sizeable number of WWE fans waiting for Big E’s return, if it happens it could end up being a huge vent.
