The Rock has trembled things up on the latest episode of Smackdown, announcing that his current storyline with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes doesn’t mandatorily have to end in a match.
This surprising twist has left WWE fans curious about what’s next for these two remarkable WWE superstars. The Rock’s comments came after an exciting conversation on Smackdown, where he applauded Cody Rhodes’ skills and offered to lift him to new heights.
During this confrontation, The Rock explains the character of “The Final Boss” which is like a white whale unicorn. The Rock said that his story with the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes never has to Culminate in a match.
During the press conference, The Rock explained what’s a special place to be and he also described that he wants Cody Rhodes’s soul.

The Rock Says His Story With Cody Rhodes “Never Has to Culminate in a Match”

At WrestleMania 2024, The Rock came back to the ring for the first time after almost a decade. In which he teamed with Roman Reigns alongside Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. He defeated Cody Rhodes that night and reappeared on the following Monday Night Raw to say that his story with Cody Rhodes was just getting started.

After that, he and Cody Rhodes shared the ring once again during the latest episode of Smackdown. And in a thrilling conversation between them, The Rock asked Cody Rhodes to be his champion before saying that he wanted Cody Rhodes’ soul.
During a press conference after the show, he said:
"In the world of pro wrestling, as we all know, everything will culminate in a match. Whatever happens, it will end up in the ring. What I really love about this rare air space that we've gotten to, with the character of 'The Final Boss' it's like this white whale, unicorn," he explained. "In that with 'Final Boss' and Cody Rhodes, it's not about the WWE title. It's not about having a match... It never has to culminate in a match. That's a really special place to be, I think. Creatively and character-wise, you just think of how much fun you could have."

The Rock Explained What’s A Special Place To Be

The Rock moved on to say that what he cherished about the Final Boss character and this story was that it was not about fighting or pursuing a title. He said:
“That’s a really special place to be, I think, creatively and when you think character-wise and how much fun you can have. I grew up in the business, as did Cody. His dad and my dad were friends, they’re no longer with us. But I think to be able to have a storyline and two characters who are very popular, to never have to get in the ring for a match but yet still hold this really unique, compelling, off putting and it’s kinda weird, ‘He wants his soul.’ What does that mean? I love it. I loved every moment, and I think Cody did too as well. We had a few tequilas after tonight.”
In the latest episode of Smackdown, The Rock also made an announcement that WrestleMania 42 would be held in New Orleans.
