Top 5 WWE legends fans wish could make a comeback

There are good wrestlers, there are great wrestlers and then there are the legends of the game that have etched their names in the history books. Not just what they do in the ring but also the personality they have had throughout their careers, make them a class apart.

We look at five such WWE legends that the fans wish could come back
1.Triple H
The Cerebral Assassin, King of Kings and the present Chief Content Officer of WWE, Paul Levesque aka Triple H has had one of the most incredible careers in the history of WWE. He has won the WWE championship 14 times and is only behind the likes of John Cena and Ric Flair. He’s won the King of the Ring tournament once and also won the Royal Rumble twice. The husband of Vince McMahon’s daughter Stephanie McMahon, ‘The Game’ was both the most hated heel in the 90s and early 2000s, and one of the most loved WWE superstars in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s, equally, ‘mainly due to the return of his famous partnership with buddy Shawn Michaels popularly known as the DX. He retired ,making the fans emotional at Wrestlemania 2022.

2. Shawn Michaels
Ask any 90’s kid about his favourite wrestler and most of them would name one man that is the ‘HeartBreak Kid’ , Shawn Michaels. Currently training the NXT roster, Mr Wrestlemania, like his old friend Triple H was one of the most disliked villains of the company in all of the 90’s. But after his return from an injury in 2002, when he also totally changed as a man, he was showered with a massive amount of love from fans across the globe. The showstopper has 14 WWE championships and won the Royal Rumble twice. Even one appearance of him on TV makes the fans go gaga over him.


3. Stone cold Steve AustinOne of the most popular and badass characters on screen in sports entertainment and in fact all of entertainment, Stone cold Steve Austin had one of the most iconic careers that a wrestler can wish for. As soon as his signature entrance, the sound of a glass shattering hit, any Arena, any stadium in the world, would erupt and the pop would go through the roof. He has won the WWE World championship six times and won a record three Royal Rumbles in his career. He did make a brief return to wrestling in 2022 Wrestlemania against Kevin Owens and won that match. It was a dream-like situation for the WWE fans.

4. The Undertaker
One of the greatest on-screen characters with probably the biggest impact on wrestling, the DeadMan Undertaker was arguably the most iconic figure in all of sports entertainment. The sheer aura that he had, the screen presence was second to none. The Phenom’s legacy cannot be measured by the championships for the victories that he had, although he did win seven World championships in WWE and Royal Rumble victory to go with it. His greatest achievement was the Wrestlemania undefeated streak that he maintained for a massive 21 years. He did make a return at this year’s Wrestlemania to help Cody Rhodes against the Bloodline and Chokeslam'd The Rock. That was one of the most shocking, enthralling and memorable moments in the history of WWE. Fans would expect more such appearances from The Undertaker.

5. Hulk Hogan
One of the most loved and cherished superstars of all time in WWE, Hogan won the WWE championship six times. At one point, Hogan was synonymous with sports entertainment, such was his impact on not just WWE but all of wrestling throughout the 80’s and 90’s. His rivalries with the icons like King Kong Bundy, the Ultimate Warrior and Rowdy Roddy Piper, could pack any stadium or Arena in the world with people. His encounters with André, The Giant were some of the most loved matches of all time. The fans love to see him appear on screen whenever it is possible.
