LONDON: Rohan Bopanna, a sprightly 43, is chasing age records at Wimbledon. The Bengalurean, who made the Wimbledon men's doubles semifinals alongside Aussie Matthew Ebden on Wednesday, is now two wins short of becoming the Open Era's oldest Grand Slam champion - across singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

Bopanna and Ebden, 35, cheered on by friends and family on Court No. 12, rallied from a set down to beat the Dutch pair of Tallon Griekspoor and Bart Stevens 6-7 (3), 7-5, 6-2 in an hour and 54 minutes. The Indo-Aussie pairing will play top seeds Dutchman Wesley Koolhof and Briton Neal Skupski for a place in the final.
