of the United States 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.

The 25-year-old recovered from dropping the first set to level the last-16 tie on a seventh set point in the second.

She then swept into a 4-1 lead in the decider as Keys, a 2018 semi-finalist, wilted under a serving barrage which has taken the Russian to a tournament-leading 23 aces.
