Alcaraz, who entered

on a 14-match winning streak and is an ATP Tour-best at 8-2 against top-10s this season, however gave Zverev his first career top-10 win in a

Grand Slam

tournament which stood at 0-11 coming into the last-eight clash.

"I hope I can win it before he starts beating us all and we have no chance," said Zverev.

"The match was swinging his way. I'm extremely happy to win the tiebreak."

It was Zverev's first win over a player ranked in the top-10 in a best-of-five match in a Slam.
