Despite being born prematurely with visual impairment, Simran showcased her exceptional talent by securing the second-best time overall among the 16 competitors.
She finished behind Cuba's Omara Durand, the defending Paralympic champion and world record holder, who also achieved a season's best performance of 11.87s.
Simran's impressive run ensured her smooth progression to the semifinal round, scheduled for Thursday.
