The all-rounder, who has represented India in 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is, is back to the dining table with his family, especially his five-year-old daughter, who he feels has grown 'smarter' before he could realise.

"She was born around the same time when I made my debut for India. Over the years, I hardly got any time to spend with her. Now I am learning that she has grown into a smart girl, way smarter than I ever thought of," the Pune cricketer, Kedar, told TOI,

"When I was young, myself, my three sisters and my parents used to make sure we had at least one meal together. This was one thing that faded with time. But since we have got an opportunity, we have started the practice again," Kedar, 35, said.

Like his teammates, Kedar too has made his contribution towards the

Maharashtra CM Relief Fund

and towards the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA). The MCCIA are working towards providing Personal Protective Equipment kits and N95 masks to the doctors who are treating the coronavirus patients in the rural areas of Maharashtra, along with providing ventilators for the patients.

"I feel it is my duty too to contribute towards the cause, for the doctors, who are selflessly working day and night to save the lives of so many people. They are tirelessly working without even thinking twice. I think what we are doing is nothing in front of their efforts," Kedar said. He didn't disclose the amount he has pledged to donate.

Kedar was in New Zealand when the coronavirus scare took over the world. The cricketer said the players were aware of the situation, but there was no panic.

"We used to discuss about it, but there was no panic in the team. Once we started playing matches, our focus shifted towards

cricket

," he said.
