Erin Andrews enters a new era after FOX

The famous sportscaster took to Instagram to call Messier "Mack met royalty Tonight." Rightly so, he holds that title as he is an all-time great, winning six Stanley Cups and joining the Hall of Fame.

With her contract now off at FOX Sports, new opportunities lie in wait for Andrews. Even if it was widely known for her NFL sideline reporting, she has lately been switching turf for that of the rink. She recently participated in Skate for LA Strong, a charity hockey event for L.A. wildfire relief, alongside NHL greats and wildly famous individuals like Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn, with her husband Jarret Stoll also putting on skates.

Rumors are now swirling about her next career move, with fans speculating whether she would move into the broadcasting realm of the NHL-or be considered for any assignment in the world of sports. Either way, it wouldn't be a surprise for someone who has lived and breathed sports for years to go for it. An additional factor fuelling this speculation was her emotional response to the Super Bowl recap by ex-FOX colleague Peter Schrager, which many interpreted as a clear sign that her departure from FOX was now formalized.
