The New York Jets’ Super Bowl hopes were shattered by a 10-9 defeat to the Denver Broncos, bringing Aaron Rodgers and his team back to earth. The Jets' offense, which had managed 225 passing yards, struggled to find the rhythm that fueled their 2-1 start, a stark contrast to last season's struggles with Zach Wilson. The Jets lost to the Broncos in a thrilling game, thanks to a missed 50-yard field goal by kicker Greg Zuerlein. Courtland Sutton's third-quarter touchdown and Denver's rookie quarterback Bo Nix led the Jets to a crucial eight-yard touchdown, showcasing Denver's resilience despite a poor first half. Despite the disappointment, Rodgers didn't blame anyone but took the blame on himself. Also Read: "I’ll bring the hair back if you do too!": Patrick Mahomes' playful jab at Travis Kelce's old hairstyle

Aaron Rodgers takes blame for the Jets' loss

Rainy conditions hindered passing in a low-scoring game between the Jets and Dolphins. The Jets had a chance to win with a 50-yard field goal, but kicker Greg Zuerlein couldn't kick it through the uprights. Despite the disappointing outcome, Jets quarterback Rodgers took responsibility for the loss. During his postgame press conference, the veteran quarterback said, "When your defense holds them to 10, you've got to win the game 100% of the time. That's on the offense, that's on me. Not good enough.”Aaron Rodgers also dismissed injury concerns after appearing limp in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos.
"Yeah, I'm banged up a little bit", he said but insisted he avoided any serious damage. Jets head coach Robert Saleh confirmed that Rodgers is fine after a torn Achilles in his first season, stating it was normal wear and tear. However, he pointed out that Rodgers' cadence was a contributing factor to the team's false start penalties, which were a significant issue on a tough day. However, Saleh did highlight a problem with the team's offense. He pointing out Rodgers' cadence as a contributing factor to the false start penalties plaguing the team on a tough afternoon.Reflecting on the team's performance, coach Saleh remarked, "We had a great week of prep. Felt great energy pregame and even at halftime," before conceding, "The reality is it was going to be tough sledding no matter what because of the rain. What was disappointing was the self inflicted wounds.” The Jets have a 2-2 record, below the undefeated Buffalo Bills in the AFC East. They face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. Rodgers is expected to participate in their upcoming game against the unbeaten Minnesota Vikings. Also Read: Violence at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium: Falcon fan attacks a Saints supporter by repeatedly hitting him
