After a rather underwhelming season, the
Tennessee Titans have secured the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. According to NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks, the Titans are likely to select quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who had an impressive run during the collegiate season. They may even be in luck because Sanders would reportedly "prefer" to be drafted by the Giants, Raiders, or Titans rather than the Browns.
Giants, Titans Or Browns? Where Will Shedeur Sanders Land In April?
NFL fans have been constantly speculating over the drafting of the son of NFL Legend Deion Sanders. Sanders reportedly has a set of criteria for the team that drafts his son. Most analysts believe Sanders will be a top-five pick this April. Now, the X page of NFL Rookie Watch has shared that, according to several NFL sources, Deion does not want Shedeur to play for the Browns because it is a " quarterback graveyard."
The page also reveals that Browns GM Andrew Berry recently said he "doesn't anticipate" Deion's preferences being a problem in their selection process. The Browns are reportedly "extremely impressed and intrigued" by Sanders, so it would be interesting to see how things progress on draft night.

“I’d love it. I would be thankful.” shares Shedeur Sanders with a wide smile on his face if the Titans picked him for the NFL 2025 draft “Shedeur is a really impressive young man, He’s poised, he’s calm, he’s smart and you can tell that he’s been raised by - quite honestly - a Hall of Fame dad. We’re going to get to know him even more over the course of the spring but he’s really impressive,” Berry said.
With a new coaching staff, led by Brian Callahan, the Titans’ focus is on rebuilding the franchise around a strong leader. Besides Sanders, other potential picks include Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, and Cam Ward.
Throughout the pre-draft process, the Cleveland Browns have been pegged as the "least likely" landing spot for Sanders. The Browns have consistently drawn backlash for sticking with Deshaun Watson, the disgraced quarterback who has been grappling with injuries to whom Browns offered a fully guaranteed $230 million contract in 2022 while Watson litigated multiple sexual harassment lawsuits. Watson missed most of 2024 due to a torn Achilles tendon and may even miss all of 2025 after re-tearing his Achilles earlier this month.
