By Tuesday, authorities confirmed the Packers running back had been arrested and booked on five charges: strangulation and suffocation, battery-domestic abuse, criminal damage to property-domestic abuse, disorderly conduct-domestic abuse and intimidation of a victim.


The strangulation and suffocation allegation is the most severe count and is classified as a felony assault charge under Wisconsin law. The remaining allegations are misdemeanors.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” Renkas said in a statement. “No further information will be released at this time.”

Jacobs’ legal team quickly responded after news of the arrest became public. Attorneys David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac issued a joint statement strongly denying the accusations.
