Alabama's Jalen Milroe is quickly becoming a top name for the 2025 NFL draft after his thrilling performance in Alabama's tough win over Georgia. Experts Discuss Milroe Prospects

Milroe, Mel Kiper Jr said on ESPN's “Get Up”, that “Milroe is "vying" to be the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class”. This says a lot about the amount of growth and potential that Milroe demonstrates as one of the top quarterback prospects in the business.

Season-to-date Best Performance

Milroe only had a phenomenal season in which he came with quite the bag full of impressive stats: 964 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, just one interception, and an impressive 72.9% completion rate. Then there's him on the ground to add significant contributions as well, running for 273 yards for eight touchdowns on 53 carries; that makes for his playmaking and versatility.

A Career-Defining Game

Saturday's game against Georgia could have been Milroe's career-defining moment. Throwing 374 yards and two touchdowns, including a dramatic 75-yard game-winner to Ryan Williams with only 2:18 to play after Georgia had erased a 28-point deficit and taken a 34-33 lead, Saturday's game against Georgia could have been Milroe's career-defining moment.

Draft Ranking Updates

Kiper updates his big board - Milroe was graded as the top quarterback in the 2025 draft class. He is followed by Shedeur Sanders, Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers, and Cam Ward. However, Beck's and Ward's last games were under scrutiny and uncertainty has been cast over their ranking since both were awful in their last games.

However, it is best to keep an eye on Milroe as the season unfolds; he faced nobody across the Georgia defense, which has to be graded among the country's best heading into this season. That will be put to the test to the fullest on October 19 as Alabama travels to Knoxville to match up with No. 4 Tennessee.
