CHANDIGARH: An unbeaten knock of 39 by Shailender and a fine bowling performance by
Ansuman (3/23) helped BECC to defeat YPS Patiala by seven wickets in the 11th Hot Weather Under-14 Cricket Tournament which concluded in YPS ground on Tuesday.
The toss was won by YPS and elected to bat first. YPS Patiala managed to score 111 for 7 in 35 over match. Prince 49, Chetnya 11 were main scorer from YPS side.
BECC chased the target in 30.2 overs by losing only three wickets. Shalinder (39no), Prabhsimran (27), and Tejpreet 22 no helped BECC to chase the target easily. BECC remain unbeaten team in Pool 'A' and reach in semifinal.
In another match, which concluded in BECC ground, DCF Delhi defeated DMW CC Patiala by 51 runs and entered in semifinals.
DCF won the toss and elected to bat first. The team scored 185 for 5 in 35 overs. Kunal made 24, while Gaurav 18 runs. Yovraj also chipped in with 17 runs. For DMW boys, Parash Jain scalped three wickets by giving away 20 runs, while Raunak (2/ 12) and Nimish (2/18) also scalped two wickets each.
DMW were all out in 30.2 overs after making 134 runs.
