The coach, grinning ear-to-ear, said: "I''ve an enormous faith in their (players) ability," he disclosed after the practice match which the Seniors won with ease.

"I never had any doubts about the ability of the side. We have world-class players. I have seen them performing consistently for the last 12 months", he added.

Talking about the Australian challenge the Kiwi said the Australians would be very hungry to beat India in the upcoming series but maintained that the home advantage should provide India the edge.

"We respect them. We''ve played some good cricket against them. They are rated number one but it will be an exciting series taking into account that the boys are ready and looking forward to it."

Asked about left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra''s exclusion, Wright felt that question was better served to the selectors. But he hastened to add that Ajit Agarkar may have got the nod because his performance in the away series was good.

"There will always be unlucky players. Ashish has done outstandingly well in One-day games. But Agarkar''s performance against Australia in Australia was very, very good."

Asked if the host team is considering fielding three spinners, the coach said it''s a possibility.
