Zion Williamson’s love triangle takes a violent turn: Ex-girlfriend arrested after alleged home invasion and assault

NBA star Zion Williamson's chaotic personal life took a darker twist when his ex-girlfriend, Ahkeema Love, who is also the mother of his child, was arrested for an alleged assault on his current girlfriend. From eerie Instagram threats to a violent encounter at Williamson's gated home in Kenner, this situation feels like a scene from a reality show gone awry. Kenner, Louisiana, has seen the arrest of 31-year-old Ahkeema Love, the former girlfriend of Zion Williamson from the New Orleans Pelicans. She is charged with three felonies: home invasion, aggravated burglary, and stalking. These charges are related to an alleged incident on March 17, where she reportedly broke into Williamson's home and assaulted his current girlfriend, whose identity remains confidential.

The New York Post has reported that things got out of hand pretty fast. Love allegedly started by throwing eggs at a house in a gated community, and then took to Instagram to unleash a threatening message. “Don’t worry. It’s going to be your head next when I drop this baby. Count your days🙂.” Love, who is reportedly pregnant again possibly with Williamson’s second child, used a key she still possessed to access the home.
The police report states that once inside, Love allegedly pulled the victim's hair and assaulted her with keys in her hand. The injuries were severe: four fingernails were completely torn off, there were visible cuts around her eyes, and a large bump on her head. Love managed to escape before being arrested. She was later taken into custody and appeared in court on Tuesday, April 8, where her bail was set at $50,000.
Her attorney, Brian Capitelli, argued that Love has no previous violent history and requested a lower bail because she is a stay-at-home mom. She has also been ordered to avoid contact with the victim and to surrender a gun she is said to have owned. Currently, there is no restraining order in place.
