Scottie Pippen Jr., the son of the former Chicago Bulls star, has just gotten a new tattoo on his hand, in honor of his legendary father. Scottie Pippen was inducted twice into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2010 - for his individual career success as well as for his success with the 1992 'Dream Team'. He along with Michael Jordan was the dream duo for the Chicago Balls back in the 90s, and was aptly inducted into the Class of 2010. And now, his son has come up with his own way to honor his legendary father.

Scottie Pippen Jr.'s new hand tattoo is a nod to his Hall of Famer father

Scottie Pippen Jr. recently unveiled his latest tattoo. On presumably his right hand, Jr. got a drawing of his father wearing his iconic 33 jersey, and holding the hand of a little boy - which is of course Jr. himself. The tattoo was posted on Instagram by @inkednba, who wrote that "the piece depicts Scottie walking with his father holding hands."
It also has the word "Legacy" written below in a big font, and was seemingly a perfect way to honor his father and also showcase their father-son bond. In 2024, Jr. and his father became the first father-son duo in NBA history to each record a triple-double, so legacy is definitely an apt word to describe their relationship.

Scottie Pippen Jr. is excited for upcoming NBA season

Scottie Pippen Jr. plays for the Memphis Grizzlies as a point guard. During the last season, Jr. made his debut at the NBA Playoffs when the Grizzlies faced the current champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Although Jr. was pretty impressive, it fell short against a team like the Thunders, who eventually won the league last season.
Recently, speaking to TMZ Sports, Scottie Pippen Jr. said, "This year is going to be big for me.” He looks excited for the upcoming season, and thinks this could be the year his career reaches a turning point, and he can showcase his talent on the court. His father will of course, be right there, to cheer him on through it all.
