Despite the Pelicans getting a boost from Brandon Ingram's return after a two-game absence, where he scored 22 points, and Zion Williamson's 19 points, the Bulls managed to maintain their composure and execute down the stretch. Herbert Jones and Jonas Valanciunas also made significant contributions, with Jones tallying 15 points and Valanciunas recording a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Additionally, Matt Ryan and Trey Murphy III provided valuable scoring off the bench, contributing 14 and 9 points, respectively.

The game was tightly contested, with both teams trading leads throughout. The Pelicans started the third quarter strong, scoring the first six points to extend their lead. However, the Bulls responded with a late surge, ending the quarter on an 11-0 run to trim the deficit to just one point heading into the final period.

In the fourth quarter, the lead changed hands multiple times before the Bulls seized control behind Andre Drummond's three-point play, giving them a seven-point advantage. Although the Pelicans made a late push, including a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to two points, the Bulls remained composed and made timely shots down the stretch to secure the victory.

Dosunmu's and White's clutch three-pointers in the final minutes helped the Bulls maintain their lead and fend off the Pelicans' comeback attempt. DeRozan sealed the win with a pivotal three-pointer in the closing seconds, ensuring the Bulls emerged victorious on the road.
