The Lakers, who have won four of their last five games, received significant contributions from LeBron James, who scored 22 points, and Max Christie, who added 12 points. D'Angelo Russell contributed 10 points in the starting lineup.
The Lakers' bench also played a crucial role in the victory, with Austin Reaves recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists, while Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes scored 13 and 10 points, respectively.
On the Cavaliers' side, Donovan Mitchell led the scoring with 22 points, while Jarrett Allen posted a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Evan Mobley contributed 18 points, and the Cavaliers received additional support from their bench, with Georges Niang scoring 13 points and Craig Porter adding 11.
The game remained closely contested, with neither team holding a lead of more than four points until the fourth quarter. Anthony Davis' free throws with 5:46 left gave the Lakers a 108-103 lead. The Cavaliers fought back, but key plays by LeBron James, including a steal and dunk, secured the Lakers' victory.
The Lakers shot impressively, with a 60.9% field goal percentage in the first half, while the Cavaliers shot 53.2%. Despite missing players like Cam Reddish, Rui Hachimura, and Jarred Vanderbilt, the Lakers showcased their depth and resilience to secure the road win.
