Exhibiting her seasoned skills, Vinesh triumphed with a 4-0 victory over her Madhya Pradesh opponent, Jyoti, despite competing in a higher weight category. The 29-year-old, representing the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), previously clinched gold at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games in the 50kg category and triumphed at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games in the 53kg category.

In another intense bout, Haryana's Anshu Malik, the 2021 World Championship silver medallist, defeated Sarita Mor (Railways), the 2020 Asian Championship gold medallist, with a score of 8-3 in the 59kg category.

The dominance of Haryana's women was evident as they claimed the top spot with 189 points, narrowly edging out the RSPB, which secured the second spot with 187 points. Pondicherry secured a distant third position with 81 points.

In the men's greco-roman section, the RSPB emerged as the overall winners with 208 points, followed by the Services Sports Control Board (127 points) and Maharashtra (113 points).

The culmination of the competition on Monday will feature the men's free-style events.
