White Sox Chief Marketing Officer Brooks Boyer expressed the organization's support for Benetti's decision, highlighting the broadcaster's various career opportunities while under contract with the White Sox. Benetti has been involved in notable ventures, including ESPN Sunday Night Baseball Statcasts, coverage of the Olympics, Peacock Sunday MLB games, and more recently, becoming one of FOX's top play-by-play talents for national broadcasts.

"We are proud to see Jason continue to live out his dream to bring the games he loves into the homes of fans in his unique style," Boyer said in a statement. "We will miss Jason calling White Sox games and wish him the very best on this next chapter of his storied broadcasting career."

A lifelong White Sox fan hailing from Homewood, Illinois, Benetti started calling games for the White Sox in 2016 and assumed full-time play-by-play duties in 2019, succeeding the iconic Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson.

Expressing gratitude to White Sox fans, Benetti took to Twitter, saying, "I will always cherish you and your passion and joy. You mean more than you know to me."
