BANGKOK: Young Indian table tennis players continued their good run in the SET

In the cadet boys' singles, Payas Jain walloped Minwoo Kim of Korea 3-2 in a hard-fought match to make it to the medal round. He was up against a formidable Peng Xiang of China in the semis and went down fighting 1-3 to be content with a bronze.

In the girls' singles, Suhana Saina beat Natch Supawatanakul of Thailand 3-0 to qualify for the medal round. She, however, capitulated 0-3 against Taemin Kim of Korea in the semis to settle for a bronze.

India's young brigade had earlier in the week four won bronze medals in the doubles events.
