JAIPUR: To ensure the development of athletics in the state, the Rajasthan Athletics Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AU Small Finance Bank (SFB) on Thursday.
Under the deal, the bank will encourage and facilitate the players in every possible manner, shared AU SFB’s executive vice-president (marketing and CSR) Saurabh Tambi and association’s secretary Devnarayan Gurjar during a press conference here.
Under the MoU, during national-level championships the bank will provide athletes with a kit and equipment. “Moreover, the teams and officials will get travel support and sportspersons’ nutrition will also be taken care of. Sports awareness programmes, seminars and meetings will also be conducted. The bank will also help the association in office work,” said the secretary.
“We have been working with the athletics association for the last three years. We have always contributed in the development of sports and I hope this new innings will help athletes from the state to achieve new heights at the national and international level,” said AU SFB’s founder, MD and CEO Sanjay Agarwal.
The association’s president Sharda Jadam said, “Our partnership with the bank will help better the facilities for the athletes and it will help improve their performance.”
