This achievement adds to Gulveer's impressive record, as he now holds the national records in both the 10,000m and 5,000m races. His performance in the Paul Banta Memorial race solidifies his position as a top athlete in India.

Despite his outstanding performance, Gulveer finished second in the race, with American distance runner Dylan Jacobs, a three-time NCAA champion, taking the top spot with a time of 13:18.18. India's Kartik Kumar finished 17th with a time of 13:41.07, while Sable, with a season's best of 13:20.37, did not finish the race.

In another event, the men's 5,000m high performance race, Abhishek Pal achieved a personal best of 13:41.57, securing a third-place finish. The Portland Track Festival is renowned as one of the premier track meets in the United States, attracting top athletes from around the world, including Olympic champions, world record holders, national record holders, and numerous Olympians.
