"I've spoken to a large number of former and current Yankees... and ultimately, the decision rests with me," Steinbrenner said. "We have decided to allow well-groomed beards moving forward. It is appropriate to break from the familiar comfort of our former policy."

So, as Gleyber Torres ventures into a new era in Detroit with his new beard, it looks like the Yankees are becoming accustomed to letting some hair down.
