“No contracts, no papers”: Lucas Hernández accused of exploiting Colombian family in explosive Paris Match report
Lucas Hernández, a defender for Paris Saint-Germain, has been accused of human trafficking and labor exploitation, according to a report published by Paris Match. The complaint has been filed with the Versailles prosecutor’s office in France.
The allegations were made by a Colombian family who say they worked for Lucas Hernández and his wife in France between September 2024 and November 2025. The family consists of a father, a mother, and their three children, who claim they resided and worked at the couple’s residence during that time. According to the report, the family alleges they worked without employment contracts and without legal residency permits. They also claim that they were required to work extremely long hours while performing household and security duties.
Lucas Hernández has not made a public statement addressing the accusations. French authorities have not announced whether formal charges will be brought at this stage.
The family’s lawyer, Lola Dubois, told Paris Match that the lack of contracts and social security registration shows what she described as criminal intent. She said the family was placed in a vulnerable position due to their immigration status. The report also claims that in February 2025, the workers were asked to sign nondisclosure agreements even though they did not have formal employment contracts. In addition, the complaint alleges the family was given falsified Spanish documents to make it appear they had legal residency in France.
Paris Match further reported an incident said to have taken place in December 2024. According to the complaint, male members of the Hernández family allegedly used firearms and knives during an attempted robbery at the residence. The magazine said security camera footage supports part of this claim. The case has drawn attention because of Lucas Hernández’s profile as an international footballer. The allegations remain claims at this stage, and the Versailles prosecutor’s office is expected to decide whether the investigation will move forward.
