But things changed quickly. Now, instead of settling down, he is moving from place to place and trying to stay focused on his game. Speaking to The Sun, Trump explained how sudden the change has been. He said, “I had to leave Dubai. So we went to Bangkok. Yeah, it’s a bit up in the air at the moment really. I don’t really think I can go back at the moment, just in case I get stuck there.” Right now, Trump is in Thailand, preparing for upcoming tournaments, including the World Open in China. Even though he is still playing, life outside snooker has become uncertain.
Judd Trump opens up on leaving Dubai, living in hotels and managing snooker career during uncertain times
Judd Trump did not hide how difficult things have been lately. He shared that he is currently staying in hotels and does not have a fixed place to live. His daily routine has changed, and he is taking things one day at a time.He told The Sun, “I’m just kind of looking for somewhere else to live at the moment. At the moment I’ll just base myself in Bangkok. There’s some good practice there. Very well looked after. It’s just all a bit play it day by day at the moment.”
The situation also affected his family. His brother Jack, who lives in Dubai, was stuck there for some time. Trump said, “My brother was stuck in Dubai for a little bit so that wasn’t good. Luckily he’s got out now and hopefully things turn around.”
Even with all this going on, Trump is still trying to stay focused on snooker. He has been practicing in Thailand and keeping his routine as normal as possible. He said, “I managed to practise in Thailand and dedicate myself like I normally would. Just trying to make the best of a bad situation.”
For a top player like Trump, stability is important. But right now, he is dealing with a situation that is out of his control. He said, “It’s not nice to be not at home, not knowing what you’re going to do. I don’t know what I’m going to do after this.”
Despite everything, he is trying to stay positive. “It’s just play it day by day, trying my best when I’m out there playing snooker. Away from the table, just take the positives.”
