Conor McGregor revives talks for UFC White House Card 2026 with Dana White with a special two-word appeal

Conor McGregor has once again caught the attention of the MMA world. The former two-division UFC champion is pushing hard for a spot on the highly anticipated UFC White House card. McGregor recently shared a message to UFC president Dana White that echoed a request he made more than a decade ago, long before he became a global superstar.

Back in 2012, McGregor was fresh off winning the Cage Warriors featherweight title. At that time, he publicly asked Dana White for a chance to compete in the UFC. That moment marked the beginning of one of the most iconic careers in MMA history. Now, years later, McGregor is hoping history repeats itself as he eyes a return on a historic stage.

In June 2012, McGregor used social media to ask Dana White for an opportunity in the UFC. He proudly described himself as an Irish fighter ready for the big stage and claimed he was dominating opponents at 145 pounds. That post became symbolic of his hunger and belief, which eventually led to his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage in 2013.

More than a decade later, McGregor reshared that same message while adding a short note directed at White. The post felt personal and emotional, showing how much the moment still means to him. It also highlighted how far he has come since those early days.

The UFC White House event is scheduled for Saturday, June 14. McGregor has repeatedly said that he has already signed to fight Michael Chandler on the card. However, Dana White has stated that the promotion will only begin building the event by February. As of now, no fights have been officially confirmed.

McGregor has not competed since UFC 264 in 2021. That fight ended in disappointment after he suffered a serious leg injury. He was expected to return at UFC 303 during International Fight Week, but a toe injury once again delayed his comeback.

Meanwhile, Michael Chandler continues to fuel excitement. During CBS’ New Year’s Eve broadcast, Chandler spoke about the possibility of facing McGregor. He suggested that while nothing is officially confirmed, the idea of fighting McGregor at the White House this summer sounds very real. Chandler joked that he could end up delivering a patriotic and decisive beating on the White House lawn.
