ACC women’s basketball tournament bracket: Matchups, schedule, and more revealed

The 2026 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament is going on right now. Teams are fighting for the conference title and a chance to get a head start on the NCAA Tournament. The Gas South Arena, which is around 30 miles north of Atlanta, is where the event is taking place. The competition this year has a lot of good teams, and the top four seeds get double-byes straight to the quarterfinals.

The Duke Blue Devils, Louisville Cardinals, North Carolina Tar Heels, and NC State Wolfpack are some of those clubs. As teams try to get to the title game, several early-round matchups have already shown impressive performances and unexpected outcomes.

• The Miami Hurricanes beat the Stanford Cardinal 83-76.
• The California Golden Bears beat the Wake Forest Demon Deacons by a score of 75–52.
• The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets beat the Florida State Seminoles, who were ranked 14th, by a score of 72–60.

Second Round (March 5)

• The No. 9 Clemson Tigers beat the No. 8 Virginia Cavaliers 63–50.
• No. 5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish won. Miami won 69-54.
• No. 7 Syracuse Orange won. California: 70–59
• Virginia Tech Hokies beat No. 6 Georgia Tech won 62–54.

The top seeds entered the competition by the quarterfinals and promptly made their presence known.

Quarterfinal round.

• No. 1 Duke beat Clemson 60-46 thanks to a dominant performance from its frontcourt.
• No. 5 Notre Dame shocked No. 4 NC State by winning 81–63.
• No. 2 Louisville easily beat Syracuse 87-61, with five players scoring in double digits.
• No.3 North Carolina upsets Virginia Tech 85-68 with a balanced offense.

Lanie Grant scored a career-high 21 points to help North Carolina win and move on to the semifinals.

The event is now at the semifinals, where there are two really exciting matches:

Semifinal round

• Duke plays Notre Dame at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
• Louisville and North Carolina play at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
