Madrid E-Prix 2026 schedule: Preview, where to watch, Formula E race timings, weather forecast
Formula E is finally back in action with Round 6 in Spain. The maiden Madrid E-Prix will mark the return of Formula E to Spanish soil at the historic Circuito del Jarama. As it is a new addition to the Formula E calendar, surprises could be on the cards, both on and off the podium. There have been five different race winners in the first five races this season, and another new name could well join the list. Here is everything you need to know about the race timings, how and where to watch, the weather forecast and more.
Saturday, 21 March features a packed schedule. Free Practice 2 will take place in the morning at 8:30 am local time (1:00 pm IST). Qualifying for Round 6 is set for 10:40 am local time (3:10 pm IST). The Madrid E-Prix race will begin in the early evening at 3:05 pm local time (7:35 pm IST).
The Madrid E-Prix weekend will conclude with a rookie test on Sunday, 22 March, where selected young drivers will take to the track at the Jarama circuit.

Rain is unlikely to affect race day, with conditions expected to be pleasant. Temperatures should be around 9°C during FP2 on Saturday morning, rising to approximately 12°C by midday, before dropping back to around 8°C during the race.
Pascal Wehrlein currently leads the Formula E Drivers’ Championship with 68 points, with Mahindra Racing close behind on 62 points in the Teams’ standings.
The 2026 season has already produced five different race winners. Jake Dennis claimed victory in Sao Paulo, while Nick Cassidy triumphed in Mexico City. Mitch Evans secured the win in Miami. Wehrlein won the opening race of the Jeddah double-header, with Antonio Felix da Costa taking victory in the second.
As Formula E heads to a brand-new venue, all eyes will be on who emerges victorious at Jarama in Round 6.
