NEW DELHI: The German Embassy in India celebrated two Punjabi brothers, Lovely and Monty, who have gone viral in Berlin for their songs about the German Football National Team during UEFA EURO 2024.
The embassy lauded their unofficial anthem and the positive energy they brought through their Punjabi dance moves. Their musical efforts have gained significant attention on social media.
"The secret winner of the #EURO2024! Congratulations to Lovely & Monty for creating the unofficial anthem of the Euros in Germany & thanks for bringing your Punjabi dance moves & tons of good vibes to us! India = Euro champion of hearts!" the German Embassy in India posted on X.
As per ANI report, this isn't the first instance the embassy expressed its admiration for the Indian dance moves and enthusiasm for the UEFA EURO 2024. A previous post highlighted their appreciation for the cultural fusion observed in Germany.
"We love the Indian dance moves & passion for the #EURO2024, spotted in Germany a few days ago! Let's celebrate football & friendship together," the German Embassy wrote.
The German national team has been performing well in the ongoing UEFA EURO 2024. Germany secured a 2-0 victory against Hungary in Group A on Wednesday, advancing the team to the knockout stages. Earlier in the tournament, Germany had an impressive start with a commanding 5-1 win against Scotland.
Their final group-stage match will be against Switzerland on Monday at the Frankfurt Arena in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
