Creating Your Hunter

Your Hunter is your in-game avatar, and Monster Hunter Wilds gives you a ton of customization options.

  • Preset or Custom?: Start with a preset look or fine-tune every detail—face, hair, eyes, physique, and even voice.
  • Armor & Clothing: Choose your starting armor, underclothes, and general outfit.
  • Randomize Face: Not sure about your look? Use the Randomize Face feature to cycle through different versions until you find the perfect one.

What You Can Customize:

  • Face & Hair – Adjust facial features, hairstyles, and even eye shape.
  • Physique – Choose body type and proportions (this won’t affect gameplay).
  • Voice & Expressions – Select your Hunter’s voice and overall demeanor.
  • Clothing & Armor – Choose underclothes and starting gear.

Creating Your Palico

Your Palico isn’t just a pet—it’s your loyal partner in the hunt!

What You Can Customize:

  • Preset or Custom Design – Start with a base look or tweak every detail.
  • Fur Pattern & Color – Mix and match patterns to make your Palico unique.
  • Ears & Tail – Choose the shape and style to fit their personality.
  • Voice & Language – Decide if they speak Felyne language or something more understandable.

  1. Base Camp Menu → Appearance Menu → Change Appearance
    • This lets you adjust some features but not everything.
  2. Using Edit Vouchers
    • A Character Edit Voucher or Palico Edit Voucher allows you to completely redesign your Hunter or Palico, including their name.
    • Access this from the Select Save Data screen before starting your game.

Name Your Hunter & Palico

You can name both your Hunter and Palico (up to 15 characters). Some words may be restricted, so choose wisely!

Your Hunter and Palico are your ultimate companions in Monster Hunter Wilds, so take your time creating them. And don’t stress too much—if you ever change your mind, you’ve got plenty of ways to edit later!
