NEW DELHI: New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner pulled off an outstanding one-handed stunner to get rid of England opener Jonny Bairstow (6) in the second ODI in Southampton on Sunday.

The terrific Santner catch happened in the third over of the England innings when opener Jonny Bairstow was looking to flick a Trent Boult delivery to mid-wicket. As Bairstow played the shot early, the ball got the leading edge of his bat and flew towards extra-cover.

With the ball flying over his head, an alert Santner, timed his jump to perfection and pulled off a spectacular catch out of thin air with his left hand. He then landed safely on the ground to wrap up the terrific grab.

Earlier, rain reduced the match to a 34-overs-a-side contest.

New Zealand currently lead the 4-ODI series 1-0.
