Harris Shield: Swami Vivekanand schools shine

MUMBAI: Swami Vivekanand International School (Borivli) and Swami Vivekanand (Kandivli) thrashed their respective opponents to advance in the U-16 Harris Shield tournament on Tuesday.
The team from Kandivli, playing at Matunga Gymkhana, outplayed Shailendra Edu cation society by 496 runs. Batting first, they compiled 5296 thanks to centuries by Ganesh Masurkar (191) and Aryan Srinivasan (107).They then bowled out Shailendra Society for a paltry 33, with Sai Naidu (47) being the pick of the bowlers.
Suved Parkar's unbeaten 235 saw Swami Vivekanand Borivli score 5024 and beat Thakur Vidyamandir by 403 runs at the Oval Maidan. Karan Patole and Yash Jathar then excelled with the ball, taking 422 and 426 respectively.
