CHANDIGARH: The brilliant performances of Union Territory Cricket Association's (UTCA) players at the various age-group tournaments on debut, have not only mesmerized the fans but also caught attention of the National Cricket Academy, who have selected four of the top performers from the city for their camp.

Yuvraj, who had a run feast besides taking heaps of wickets will join the month-long camp at Palam Grounds, Delhi from April 2- May 2. He managed a total of 479 runs from 10 matches with one century and three half-centuries to his credit. Promoted to the Under-23 team, Yuvraj came up with a blistering 230 against Manipur at the Col CK Nayadu fixture at Kharagpur.
The left-arm spinner has also done wonders for his team by claiming 41 wickets. The bowler claimed three five-wicket hauls in Cooch Behar trophy, before justifying his promotion to the Under-23 team when he took 10 wickets in a crucial match against Bihar in Chandigarh. He continued his fine run by claiming eight wickets including a hat-trick in the next CK Nayadu trophy match at Kharagpur. Yuvraj will be joined by his teammate Akhsit at the same venue.
Under-19 team captain Surya Narayan Yadav, who finished the third highest run-getter in the Cooch Behar trophy is one of the three players who played two matches in the Col CK Nayudu trophy. Yadav amassed a total of 810 runs from 10 matches with 187 as his highest score. The right hander hammered four centuries and two half-centuries during the tournament.
Yadav also lived up to the expectation of his Under-23 coach Amit Uniyal when he scored 95 against Manipur in the final Col CK Nayadu trophy match. He will be joining the camp at Ranchi next month.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Akshit also finished among the top ten run getters at the Cooch Behar trophy, totalling 742 runs from 10 matches with 140 as his highest score. He slammed four centuries and three half-centuries during the competition. He was also included in the playing XI in the two fixtures of Col CK Nayadu, where he scored 30 against Bihar and 53 against Manipur.
Medium pacer Raj Angad Bawa will undergo at Raipur. Bawa clinched 34 wickets from 10 matches, including three five-wicket hauls.

. Paras was selected for the ZCA. Paras clinched 22 wickets from five matches with 7/31 as his best. He took a couple of five-wicket hauls during the tournament.
