Later in the day, Punjab joined the top-tier trio after a hard-fought 11-run victory over Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
With this crucial win, Punjab Kings moved up to third on the points table, with 17 points from eight wins, three losses, and one no-result.

All three teams — GT, RCB, and PBKS — have two matches remaining in the league stage.
