KOLKATA: As their international cricket is now limited to only ODIs as they have bid goodbye to Tests and T20Is, there are questions surrounding the future of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli especially with the 2027 World cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, still a good 22 months away.

“I don't know why we need to look at all this – he's really batting well, and I don't see any reason we need to talk about his future. I feel the World Cup shouldn't even be spoken about after the way he plays and performs. That is something which is two years away. There's no point talking about all this,” Kotak said at the post-match presser on Sunday.
With the wealth of experience that players like Kohli and Sharma have, Kotak said, “They do share their experiences with others. They are just brilliant, and they are performing. They are contributing to the team.”
