NEW DELHI: Young Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan on Thursday faced an injury scare during Team India's training session in Perth, walking off the field after a painful blow to his right elbow.
Preparing for the upcoming first Test against Australia, starting on November 22 in Perth, Sarfaraz was hit while batting in the nets.
Border-Gavaskar TrophyAlthough the extent of the injury is still uncertain, Sarfaraz's abrupt departure raised little concerns since he has been in excellent form in the recent past.
In a clip shared by Fox Cricket on social media platform X, Sarfaraz was seen walking off the field in visible pain, clutching his elbow with his left hand.
The 27-year-old is in contention to play in the Perth Test at Optus Stadium, with captain Rohit Sharma likely to be absent due to personal reasons.
