Resuming the day on 107/2 in reply to TN's first-innings total of 375, Chattisgarh were bundled out for 201 with S Ajith Ram picking up 4/38 for TN. Ajith was ably supported by R Sonu Yadav and Lokesh Raj, who scalped three wickets each. Made to follow on, the hosts showed much more resilience in the second innings, though, as they reached a total of 145/0 at stumps. The good work was done by the opening duo of Sanidhya Hurkat (82 batting) and Naved Ali (53 batting), who struck unbeaten half-centuries to leave the hosts 29 runs adrift of the deficit.
