Pitch report - Ed Rainsford reports a high of around 27 degrees, with a breeze picking up to about 14 kph. Andy Flower describes the surface as quite dry and fairly flat, making it a nice wicket to play the seamers early on. Andy believes that as the hot sun continues to bake the pitch, the turn is expected to increase as the game progresses. He further says that the key for batters will be judging length against the spinners and making the right decision between playing straight-bat shots and cross-bat shots. Flower feels that cutters could hold in the surface for the pacers.
