Sports Ministry sanctions training of swimming team in Germany

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved the training of three-member Indian swimming team at Olympic Training Centre in Frankfurt, Germany from June 1 to July 24 for their preparation of the upcoming London Olympics.

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved the training of three-member Indian swimming team at Olympic Training Centre in Frankfurt, Germany from June 1 to July 24 for their preparation of the upcoming London Olympics.
The three-member team consists of two swimmers -- Virdhawal Khade and Sandeep Sejwal -- and a coach, Nihar Ameen.

"The 3 member team comprising of two swimmers and a coach will undergo training at full cost to the Government," said the release.
