Veteran actress Reema Lagoo, 59, known for her performance in TV shows like "Shriman Shrimati" and "Tu Tu Main Main", died of a cardiac arrest in the wee hours today (May 18) at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Though the actress is remembered for her portrayal of a mother in almost all Sooraj Barjatya movies like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Apke Hai Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain to name a few, she also made a mark on the small screen. She was currently shooting for Mahesh Bhatt's show 'Naamkarann', here's a look at her career on Television.

Naamkarann: Reema Lagoo was currently seen as the main antagonist Dayavanti Mehta on Mahrsh Bhatt produced show Naamkarann. Her role was quite prominent on the show and she had also shot for a new promo recently on Monday (May 17). Her on-screen son is played by Viraf Patel aka Ashish Mehta on the show.

Khandaan: Reema Lagoo started her TV career in 1985 with the show Khaandaan. The show was aired on DD National. She was already two films old in the industry at the time she ventured into TV.

Shrimaan Shrimati: The actress rib-tickled her fans with her role in Sriman Srimati. She played the protagonist Kokila Kulkarni opposite the late Jatin Kanakia. The lead pair's conversations and their body language brought laughter and fans adored their comic timings. Reema was seen as a homemaker on the show who was an admirer of Dilruba Jarnail Singh Khurana, played by Rakesh Sethi.

Tu Tu Main Main: Another sitcom in which Reema managed to draw all eyes on herself was Tu Tu Main Main. She played the role of a nagging yet loving mother-in-law onscreen to actress Supriya Pilgaonkar. The show was directed by Supriya's husband Sachin Pilgaonkar. Tu Tu Main Main was about arguments between Devaki and Radha played by Reema and Supriya respectively. It was aired for almost six years from 1994 to 2000. Reema also won a Telly award for the Best Actress in a Comic Role for her role on the show.

Do Aur Do Paanch: In 1997 Reema played the role of Radha on Do Aur Do Paanch. She always managed to enthral the audience with her stints on TV.

Kadvee, Khatti, Meethi: In 2006, Reema Lagoo appeared on the show Kadvee, Khatti, Meethi, which was aired on Star One. The show was based on three generations of saas-bahu. This weekly show also enjoyed a good viewership.

Do Hanson Ka Joda: Later, in the year 2009 Reema was a seen on the show Do Hanson Ka Joda. She played the role of Snehlata, a Godly figure for everyone in the house. Her decisions were accepeted by everyone without any questions and the family members worshipped her. Her onscreen character on the show suffered from a terminal disease.

Tuza Maza Jamena: Reema Lagoo has also appeared on the Marathi show Tuza Maza Jamena in 2013. She played the role of Reema Limaye on the show. This one had a similar plot like Tu Tu Main Main, where Reema Lagoo was always seen in a tiff with her daughter-in-law.
