Vijaya Ekadashi 2024: Ekadashi has its own great religious significance among Hindus. This day is dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu. On this auspicious day, devotees observe fast and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu. There are 24 Ekadashis in a year, twice a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. This month, Vijaya Ekadashi is observed on Ekadashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Phalguna. This month, Vijaya Ekadashi fast being observed on March 6, 2024.

As per the meaning of the word, an individual who follows the all the rituals and puja on the day of Vijaya Ekadashi, always triumphs over their adversaries and rivals. The effects of this fast have helped numerous kings and emperors win bloody battles in the past.
According to Puranas, it is believed that even in the worst of situations, when one is surrounded by adversaries, one can triumph by fasting on Vijaya Ekadashi. It is said that keeping the Vijaya Ekadashi fast brings relief from suffering. The day is believed to bring wealth, luck, prosperity and well-being. Devotees keep Ekadashi fast to seek for love, blessings and affection of Lord Vishnu.
Ekadashi fasting is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and following it religiously leads to good fortune and salvation. Ekadashi fasting also helps to build resilience and inner strength in a person.
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house and puja room where you want to keep the altar.
3. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu and Shri Yantra.
4. Light a diya with desi ghee, put tilak, offer Tulsi Patra and adorn the idols with a garland.
5. Recite Vijaya Ekadashi Vrat Katha.
6. Spend your day chanting Vishnu Maha Mantra.
7. In the evening also, one must offer prayers and perform aarti.
8. Those who are unable to stay empty stomach, they can have fruits and milk products.
