Pradosh day is dedicated to worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Pradosh day, which falls on Friday known as Shukra Pradosh Vrat. This day is considered auspicious for performing various puja and hawan. This year, Pradosh Vrat is occuring on the day of Maha Shivratri so this makes this festival more special and unique. The combination of these two observances dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is an indication that the festival of Mahahsivratri will bring prosperity and happiness in the life of devotees, who will worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati with utmost devotion and with pure intentions.

Shukra Pradosh Vrat 2024: Puja Vidhi

1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house and especially puja room.
3. This day is considered auspicious as it is falling on the day of Mahashivratri.
4. Place an altar where you can place Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
5. Light a diya with desi cow ghee and adorn them with flowers and chant Panchakshari Mantra and Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra.
6. Visit temple to perfoprm Rudrabhisheakm to Shiva lingam.
7. Observe strict fast to please Mahadeva and devotees should break their fast on March 9 early in the morning during parana time.
8. This Pradosh Vrat will benefit them and Lord Shiva fulfill the desired wishes of the devotees.
