On this auspicious day, devotees observe fast from dawn to dusk and offer their sincere prayers to Lord Bhairav. Sunday is the main day for worshipping Lord Bhairav. Devotees can overcome challenges and lessen the power of bad spirits and concerns by worshiping the Lord. He is one of the fiercest forms of Lord Shiva. Bhairava is regarded as the guardian of time (Kala), supervising the eight directions and protecting his devotees from evil and negativity. Devotees participate in specific rituals and prayers to gain his blessings for health, protection, and the elimination of negative energy.
1. Get up early and take a holy bath.
2. Clean your house and puja room.
3. Place an idol of Lord Kaal Bhairav on a wooden plank and light a diya with mustard oil.
4. Offer flowers to Lord Kaal Bhairav and sweets.
5. Chant Bhairav mantras and recite the Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam.
6. Visit Kaal Bhairav temple and light four faced mustard oil diya in front of the idol and offer sweet rott as a bhog prasad.
7. People can break their fast in the evening. They can break their fast with halwa, sweet rotten, and sweet parantha.
