Kalashtami in April 2024: Kalashtmi holds a great religious importance in Hindu Religions as this day is dedicated to worship Lord Kaal Bhairav. People observe fast on this day and visit Kaal Bhairav Temple to seek blessings of the lord. This month, Kalashtami falls on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Chaitra. Kalashtami that falls on Tuesday and Saturday and Sunday considered auspicious. Kalashtami fast is being observed today i.e., on April 2, 2024.

Kalashtami April 2024: Significance
Kalashtami holds a great religious significance among Hindus. This day is purely dedicated to Lord Kaal Bhairav and devotees worship him with full devotion and they observe fast on this sacred day to please Kaal Bhairav. Lord Kaal Bhairav is the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. It is believed that those who worship him with full dedication and pure intentions, he always protects his devotees from every evil energy.
On this auspicious day of Kalashtami, devotees should avoid getting indulge into any type of Tamasik activity and even eating tamasik food items. They should stay away from eating meat, egg, onion and garlic and specially those people who are observing fast or visiting Kaal Bhairav temple.
Lord Kaal Bhairav is known to be the remover of all the bad elements such as Kaam, (Lust) Krodh, (Anger) Lobh, (Greed) Moh, (Attachment) and Ahankaar (Ego) so one must worship him to get the blessings of Kaal Bhairav.
Worshipping Lord Kaal Bhairav is also advised to the people who are suffering from any kind of black magic, evil eye effect and negative energy so they must worship Kaal Bhairav and pray to the lord to remove all types of sufferings.
Kalashtami in April 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Devotees are advised to wake up early in the morning and take a bath before starting puja rituals.
2. They must clean the puja room before worshipping the lord.
3. Take a wooden plan and place an idol or photo of Lord Kaal Bhairav.
4. Light a diya of mustard oil and recite Kaal Bhairav Ashtakam.
5. Devotees take a sankalp of observing fast without getting involved in any tamasik activity.
6. Many people visit Kaal Bhairav temple to seek blessings of the lord and offer Meetha Rott asa bhog prasad and in temple one must light a five face diya with a mustard oil and chant Kaal Bhairav Aarti.
7. In the evening, devotees can break their fast with sattvik food.
8. Doing charity on this day is considered meritorious especially to the handicapped people.
9. Dog is the vehicle of Lord Kaal Bhairav so one must feed to Dogs on this day.
